It's so hard to believe that between 3 & 4 million people visit there each year, witness the majesty & beauty & don't know without a doubt Who created it.
Mind boggling really.
But we know.
And we are thankful because it truly is beautiful.
Every morning we got up early & went for an 'explore' with the dogs.
We would have a big hot breakfast when we got back & then plan out our main hike for the day.
We took lots of detours to climb LOTS of big rocks & take lots of pretty pictures.
Then we would have a big, hot dinner & hang out by the fire & read & be silly.
I was able to take so many amazing pictures with such beautiful colors ~ just lovely.
Going this late in the year had many advantages.
Most of the waterfalls & creeks were dry but the foliage was breath taking & there were not many people there at all.
And the crisp, cold weather was fabulous.
I want to share so many of the beautiful pictures we have that I will split up my posts between days ~ so as not to overwhelm you with the Lord's creation :)
Half Dome
It's important to have a hiking buddy. Especially if they are tall, dark & handsome. Here's mine.
Look! It's us :)
We stopped to have a history lesson on this rare form of ancient technology.
The world's cutest hikers.
Scaling the behemoth...
Victorious!
Scaling the narrow ledge hundreds of feet (okay inches) above the ground...
I love walking-away pics :)
King of the world!!!
3 little bear cubs...
Boys & their dogs.
