Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale

Pretty girl...

Some of my son's handy work for sale.

The apple box was a popular spot.

Hangin' at the booth.

Notice the chocolate lips? The candy bowl was also popular...

Some of my friends are into giant metal chickens but I think I prefer her...how about you?

Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday.

The big 44.

Sigh.

Yes. I am that old.

It was a fabulous day.

2 dozen roses & a box of chocolates were delivered to my door.

I got my semi-annual haircut. A new & very cool pair of jeans. And we went out to a nice meal with good friends.

And after dinner they had cake & ice cream & presents for me!

Who could ask for a better birthday?  :)

Some of my prettys...

(not so giant) Metal Chicken

My son created this sculpture for an AWANA Fine Arts contest.

Whatever you entered had to represent a Bible verse.

He chose Luke 13:34

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem...  How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!

Aren't they awesome  ?!?

Isn't he amazing?  :)

Blessings.

3

Our littlest bub is 3 today.

He's a big boy.

It's enough to break a mama's heart :(

In the last year he has grown tall & thin & become a 'talker.'

He was our latest 'talker'. His brothers & sister were all very verbal from an early age.

Full sentences by 2.

He barely said anything at 2.

But at 3 he's a chatterbox :)

With some of the cutest mispronunciations ever.

He says 'woo' for you.

He says "right" instead of 'yes'.

His utmost, most terrible insult is "woo meanie!"

He's my little squishy man & I am so thankful to be his mama :)

Right now he loves puppies more than anything. He wanted a 'little tiny puppy' for his birthday.

We found him 2 at 'Racker Y' ( that would be 'Tractor Supply' folks)

At our house the birthday person gets to choose the meals & for his birthday breakfast he wanted his cake so... we had cake for breakfast.

Not that he ate any anyway.

He doesn't actually eat  much.

He lives off of goat milk & the occasional bite of meat...and his weekly Tootsie Pop that he gets from the AWANA store (not that he actually eats it mind you but he does give it a few licks)

So my baby is no longer a baby.

Sigh.

Here he is still 2...

And the big 3 year old  (notice the crowns on the puppies)

His puppy cake

This is what happens when you ask them to smile...

Happy Birthday to

     You!

Happy Birthday Bubbles.

More pretty pictures...

Yes.

This may become a photography blog...

Pictures by a Pastor's wife...hmmmmm...

Today's photos will be a rather eclectic mix but what else is new? :)

The 'flower' my son made me for Christmas.

The tiny nativity I tried to photograph years ago but only got a fuzzy, blurry, indistinct photo of...look at the details of Joseph's face...

Look how sharply the details stand out on this carousel. Isn't it pretty?

Moving on from the tree...here are some cattails from our walk yesterday.

You may find this a strange subject but I love the contrast of the weathered wood , the rusty barbed wire & the nail. And do you see the tiny little cobwebs down in the corner?

Sigh.

I love my camera.

Blessings.
