Boys & Tractors

A couple of weeks ago I took a bunch of pics at a friends house.

It was a nice sunny day & they had a tractor!

I am finding ~ much to my surprise~ that I really enjoy taking photos of large equipment.

The colors are so vivid & there are all sorts of angles & circles inside of squares & squares inside of circles.

It's just easy to take fun pics.

And we all know how fond  I am of my close ups of weeds...  ;)

And little boys on tractors...well that is just win/win all the way around  :)

Notice the tiny little gnat on the leaf? (Yes. I am stoked about a gnat. Or at least the ability to capture it in a photo)

Weeds are just so pretty ;)

See? Boys & tractors. You can't go wrong.

Blessings.

Bonanza

We went home to Oregon on Monday & I took my camera (of course).

Out of the, oh...100 or so photos I took, I thought I would share a few.

Front tooth

DP had a big week last week.

He lost his front tooth!

It's been hanging by a thread for days now & he finally twisted & twisted until it was just dangling there and then...

his brother pulled it out & it didn't even hurt!

Yay for big brothers :)

The evidence.

The new grin.

Mmmm. Good eats.

The other day I made a batch of Potato Leek Soup ( using Julia's recipe of course). It smelled soooo yummy.

And the colors were sooo pretty...I just had to take a picture (you're shocked I know).

Isn't that pretty?

And muy delicioso!

Valentine Cake...

White cake, cream cheese frosting flavored with plum jam & jam filling. Yum.

Sugar Cane

This morning at the Farmer's Market we found the coolest thing...sugar cane!

For $1!!!

You know we just had to get some of that.

So we brought some home...

Chopped some up...

 And everybody had a taste.

Mmmmmm....sweet!

Then Daddy sliced a 'sample' & loaded up the microscope...

Oooooooo...

Crystals!

And then we had to juice some...

Tastes like...sugar water :)

You never know what you can bring home from the Farmer's Market ;)

Blessings.
