Naptime...

The other day I put my 2 yr old down for his nap.

All was quiet & still so I peaked my head around the corner expecting to see a sleeping bub.

Instead I saw this...

Maybe I  shouldn't have put him in his sister's room... ;)

School Days

As I have shared before, we use My Father's World curriculum.

This year we are in "Creation to the Greeks". We have been doing it now for about 2 months.

One of the best things about MFW is the many hands-on projects.

They really keep the kids interested & make learning fun.

We firmly believe learning should be as fun as you can make it. :)

So far this year we have experimented with the energy of light, built an Egyptian reed boat & several pyramids.

Wanna see? ;)

Learning about the power of the sun.

See the smoke? (and yes, I know you are jealous & wish YOU could do school in your Sponge Bob pj's)

Building the reed boat~ see it there  on the bottom step?

Testing to see if it floats. (I love this pic. Goats are very curious ;) )

Did you ever wonder how the pyramids were built? Probably not like this...

A step pyramid.

The Sphinx.

So that is some of what we have been doing in school... how about you?

Blessings.

Moving Day

Homestead Blogger is apparently closing up shop. :(
Not surprising due to how much of a mess it has been since switching to the dreaded WordPress.
But still sad.
So after a few days of panic, I finally (thanks to some cyber geek who boldly went before me & posted the instructions for the rest of us. Thank You!) managed to get my original blog to transfer over & away we go!
I've made a few changes ~including the name
That was a hard one but since we no longer live in my beloved high desert it just seemed like the thing to do.
So~ if you are moving with me Welcome!
And if you are new ~ I'll try not to bore you :)

Funny

Heard from the bathroom this morning, where the 5 year old was on the pot: "Give me liberty or give me death."

Blessings.
