Dutch Ovens Part 2

Our first foray into Dutch Oven cooking was a resounding success!!!

Delicious. Simple. Divine. Goooooood eating!

Our first dish was a lovely, hearty beef stew (with fresh bread & butter of course).

A big hit with everyone.

Some people even tried to hide under the table...

you can't seeeeee meeeee...

Doggy kisses anyone?

The next night we had chicken & rice.

It. was. fab.

Moist. Delicious. Perfectly cooked. Oh my goodness.

And SO easy. I dumped in rice, arranged the chicken pieces over it, sprinkled it all with garlic salt & poured chicken broth over all of it.

Let it cook for about an hour & perfecto.

And let's not forget dessert. (the most important meal of the day ;) )

Apple. Cobbler.

Oh yes.

I meant to get some photos of the warm cobbler all~ mushed up with the melting vanilla ice cream~ but I got, um, a little, um, preoccupied eating it & um, I sort of, um, forgot...but it was really, really, good.

And since I forgot the pics of the cobbler, how about a pic of really cute 3 year old instead?

:)

So...in conclusion...Dutch Oven cooking is AWESOME. You should try it.

Blessings.
