Beach Trip: Part 1

So, we packed up our trailer & headed out on our maiden voyage.

During which I took somewhere in the neighborhood of, oh, 300 pretty pictures. ;)

Since some people still have poky old slow internet, I decided to do a few different posts rather than one ginormous photo heavy monster.

I already shared about our uber successful foray into Dutch Oven cooking.

Now how about a few sand castle pics?

First things first.

The building materials & supplies.

We came prepared. We brought a multitude of materials. Enough in fact, to fill a #50 feed sack.

His tool of choice: the folding spade.

Hmmm. What next? Decisions, decisions.

A wide & varied collection.

The construction game is serious business...

Smile!

NJ & I got started on our Castle Kingdom. Multiple towers, turrets & serf dwellings (not to be confused with 'surf' dwellings. hee hee hee)

DP tried to distract me from master piece but I wasn't going for it.

The Master surveying his minions.

 The finished Kingdom.

Complete with a Super Hero guardian.

I am pretty sure you don't care but just see the detail my camera picks up? Happy sigh.

W. & DP were busy creating a kingdom of their own.

W. probably dug 3 miles of ditch while we were there. DP was a close second.

Surveying their domain.

A walled a city, surrounded by a moat, surrounded by a wall, surrounded by a moat.

We take our sand castles pretty seriously around here :)

Blessings.
