Awkward situation #212:
So we had a visitor in church today.
A man & his 2 kids. I spoke to him briefly but never got his name.
After church my husband & a deacon & his wife disappear into his office for a confab.
I was totally out of the loop.
Afterward my hubby says "I should tell you before you hear it from someone else" ~which ranks right up there w/ "we need to talk"
So it turns out the guy is the ex-husband of a very good friend of ours who is also the deacons sister.
Not just a run-of-the-mill ex-husband but a walk-out-on-your-wife-and-6-kids ex-husband. While you were a pastor ex-husband. Because you were having an affair with a married member of your congregation ex-husband. A never-pay-child-support ex-husband. Who remarried, cranked out a couple more kids & then left that wife. Who happened to discover some interesting facts when she did some research on the ex-pastor ex-husband. He is a real true to life Lifetime Channel movie waiting to happen. A multiple families all over the place that don't know about each other kind of Lifetime movie. A pretty much every word out of his mouth has been a lie kind of movie.
So he was in our church today.
Yep.
And pretty muchly everybody knew about but me.
Why? You ask?
Because it was pretty much a general consensus that if I knew who he was I might scratch his eyes out.
Huh.
Who me?
I wouldn't have tho.
Because despite the agony & indignity he put my friend thru his leaving was that best thing that ever happened to her & her kids.
She is married to an awesome Godly man who loves her & loves her kids.
Her children have gotten to see how a MAN treats his wife & they have been able to know what a DAD is like.
So I am sorry for his other wives & for his other children but I don't want to scratch his eyes out.
I DO want to spray down his pew with lysol but that is another deal altogether...
Blessings.
ha ~~and I thought my mother was the only one that used the lysol expression ~~but a good one in this unsual case(at least I surely do pray it is unusual)
