Bonanza Days

This weekend is Bonanza Days here in Bonanza Oregon & we are doing it up right.

Parade, car show, Hobby Festival, Chili Cook Off, live music, raffles ~ there is stuff happening everywhere!

We entered the parade & our son has a booth at the Hobby Festival so today has been a looooooong day.

But a super good one too.

Our little donkey wagon was a big hit with the parade goers. (one little bitty girl said  "ooo! look at the lamb! look at the lamb! It was SOOO cute)

We did run out of candy to throw before we made it to the end of the parade but, alas, life goes on.

The set up process.

My 'helpers'. See what hard workers they are?

The star of the show Pinochle. Or Pea Burger as she is known to her friends...
(and for as cute & sweet as she looks let me just tell you. she DID NOT appreciate being painted. Uh uh. No thank you.)

Seriously ~ how cute is she???

Can you see Toby in there?  With his red & blue stars? Yes. We painted our dog. Isn't he cute?

The booth was awesome. Our previous booth experiences it was 114* (no joke ~ I think it was the hottest weekend of the year) & hardly any folks ventured out & my son barely made back the booth fee let alone any profit.

This year? He made the booth fee plus $10 profit in the first 30 minutes! PTL!

And the high temp of the day was 81*. His booth was in a lovely shady spot with a nice breeze.

A very enjoyable day.

We won $25 for being in the parade. The booth made money all day. We saw old friends.  Made some memories & tomorrow is another day.

Blessings.
